2008 Practice Notes

 

Delaware Speedway’s first open practice is set for Saturday, April 12 and is followed by a second practice one week later on April 19.  Gates open at 11:30 AM.  Practice will run from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  It is a good opportunity not only to make sure your car is ready for the year, but also to attend the drivers meeting to give input on a number of items relating to the 2008 season.

 

Order of Practice:

- Enduro

- Truck

- Super Stock

- Modified

- Late Model

- Chaos Cars / Four Cylinder Invitational Visitors

 

If there are any additional types of racing vehicles attending practice day, they will be entered into the rotation at that time.

 

Practice Day 1 Meeting Agenda:

 

- 2008 Lineup Formats: Various options will be discussed.  Nothing will be finalized until the 19th.

- 2008 Weekly Race Purse / Points Fund: Discuss options and gather additional input before arriving at final decision on the 19th.

 

- Tire Inventory Control (All Classes): Answer any questions about the tire inventory program.

 

- Pledge forms and information for Jesse’s Journey will be made available to all teams.  This is a good opportunity for race teams to support the community.

 

Additional Notes:

 

- Drivers and crew members receiving gold cards must be in attendance so that photos can be taken and cards printed.  Gold cards do not cover practice days.

 

- Pit entry is $10 per person on practice days.

 

- Spectator admission to the grandstands is free, however there may not be any facilities available on the hill.
